WOW, My First REAL Article! Thrift Shopping !

In the past couple months I've been feeling kind of bad. I wanted all these expensive clothes but didn't have the budget to go in for 'em. Since starting this blog, I've felt that I don't have to worry about how much I spend on clothes. I've learned that Thrift Stores and TJ Maxx/Marshalls are my saving grace!

Best Thrift Stores Ever

***Thrifting Tips ***

1. Check the Children's Section! ( Girls & Boys )
You can find little boys blazers or denim jackets that will be perfect for you (if you're petite) Their integrity may not be to be cropped, but hey! If it fits and you love it, get it!

2. TRY THINGS ON! I know thrift stores can have some shift characters, so wear a tank top under whatever you're rockin' that day and it will be easier to just throw things on!

3. Grab and Go! Make a rule with yourself :
"I will take 5 items from this rack, 2 that I absolutely love, and 3 I'm not sure about!" Remember to use step #2 with this one, NEVER JUDGE CLOTHES BY HOW THEY LOOK ON THE HANGER!

4. Look for lables! Look at the tag, say "Hmmm, do I know this store? Do I have a TON of things from that store, but nothing like this?" and if you don't know it, still consider it, but if you see one you know, SHOVE IT IN YOUR BAG!

5. Beware of Tears! Do a little damage check before you check out and move on to the next store! It could save you a couple bucks, and we all could use that!

6.  Belt it Out! Make use of the resident belt collection! If you love the print of that maxi, but not the length, grab a belt, fold the bottom under, and tuck it under the belt!

7.  Experiment! Thrift stores are a great place to experiment with trends you've never tried before like maybe you're a little apprehensive of wearing blazers and don't want to make a HUGE investment on something you may or may not wear.  Find one you like at your local thrift shop and get it! Even if it doesn't work out, you only spent a couple bucks and you can always gift it, or donate it back to the shop!

REMEMBER:
Most thrift stores don't take returns, but you never know, be sure to ask at check out!

Save a couple of hours for this, it may take longer than you think to dig through the jungle of wierd and bizarre before getting to the treasures!

Don't worry about the smell! What do you expect, a rose garden? Although thrift stores aren't as nice as a Marshalls, TJ Maxx, or Forever 21, you must admit that its worth it for the vintage deals that you'll get, and no one else will have, garunteed(:

My Question to You:
